With a nod to the late, great Ronnie James Dio, a place for my images caught in time.

buildings and other structures

I really enjoy capturing different architecture and finding something to present that is always there, but maybe not readily observed.

Hunter Moon at Jefferson Memorial - October 20, 2021

I captured the full Hunter Moon in this 4 second exposure rising near the Thomas Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C.

U.S. Capitol and Moon, March 29, 2021

If you've never been in Washington, D.C. late at night, when the streets are quiet and the crowds are non-existent, I highly recommend it. It's eerily quiet especially, if you're familiar with what it is like on a typical work day. Yes, COVID is helping out right now to keep the crowds away, but.... In any case, with the nearly full Moon and a clear evening, I couldn't pass up the opportunity. So, here you go!

Washington Monument, September 2020

Shot the same evening I photographed my first International Space Station transit of the Moon.

Old Bridge, Lewisburg, Pa, November 24, 2019

I love the symmetry of these structures. This bridge spanned the West Branch Susquehanna River. We were just out on a little jaunt to the Street of Shops.

Gravestone, St. John's Cathedral, June 26, 2017

Shot in the cemetery of the Cathedral Church of St. John The Baptist and St. Patrick's Rock, Cashel, Ireland.

Pisa Tower, June 19, 2014

While visiting Italy, took this close up shot on film of the leaning tower.

Please let others know that you found something really cool on my website.
